A Personal Connection to the Island
Long Island parks have always felt personal.
Long Island Parks is more than a directory. It is a personal tribute to the island I have called home for generations, shaped by family roots that reach into Southampton, Oyster Bay, Huntington, and communities across Long Island.
Family stories, old landscapes, local trails, windswept beaches, woods, and meadows all shaped the idea behind LIParks: a welcoming resource for residents and visitors, built with respect for accuracy, conservation, and the island’s layered history.
Long Island has always been about more than places. It is about the people who cared for them, built lives around them, and helped their beauty endure.

Started shortly after high school as a small personal project with a few park listings.
