LI Parks is an independent guide to parks, trails, beaches, playgrounds, and other outdoor places across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Long Island Parks LLC brings together place information, maps, events, and local stories to help you plan your time outdoors.
Does LI Parks manage parks or issue permits?
No. LI Parks is an information resource and does not operate the parks or issue permits. For reservations, access questions, maintenance concerns, or official rules, contact the agency or organization that manages the location. Look for operator details and official links on the place page.
How do I find a place to visit?
Use the site search to look for a place by name or browse a directory such as Parks, Trails, or Playgrounds. Use the available filters to narrow your choices, then open a place page for its map and visitor details. If you are unsure where to start, try the Park Finder.
Can I find parks near me?
Yes. Open Nearby and use its location option to find places around you. Your browser will ask for permission to use your location. If you prefer not to share it, you can still search for a place or browse the directories.

Can I book a pavilion, campsite, or permit through LI Parks?
Use the Permit Finder to explore guidance and links to the official issuing agencies. Applications, payments, and reservations are handled by the agency or reservation service linked there. LI Parks does not make bookings on your behalf.
Where can I check hours, fees, beach access, or dog rules?
Start with the individual place page and follow its official links for current requirements. If a detail is missing, contact the park operator before making plans. A listing on LI Parks does not mean admission or parking is free, dogs are permitted, or access is available to everyone.
How do I find accessibility information?
Look for specific accessibility details on the place page, such as accessible routes, surfaces, or equipment. Missing information means the feature has not been documented here; it does not establish whether it is available. Contact the operator to confirm the facilities and routes you need.
Where does the information come from, and is every detail verified?
LI Parks brings together information from public sources, agencies, park operators, and contributions. Listings vary in detail, and not every field has been independently verified. Check source or official links where available, and confirm important access details with the operator before visiting. You can help by reporting missing or outdated information.

Do I need an account to use LI Parks?
You can browse the public directories, maps, place details, news, and events without signing in. Personal features such as saving places and submitting reviews or check-ins require a signed-in account.
How do I save a place for later?
Sign in, then select the save or heart button where it appears on a place listing or page. Visit Saved Places to find your list and open a place again.
How do I leave a review or check in?
Sign in and open the place page. Use the review form or check-in control where available, and follow the prompts. Keep contributions relevant to your visit and the location. Community features may not be available on every page.

How do I report an error or suggest a missing place?
Use Submit an Update and include the place name, location, page link, and what needs to change. An official source link or a clear description helps us assess the suggestion. The update form opens your email application; you can also email info@liparks.com directly. Suggestions are reviewed before publishing.
Can I contribute a photo?
Email info@liparks.com with the place name, location, and the photo you would like to share. Include when it was taken and any context that helps identify what it shows. Share photos you took or have permission to contribute, and tell us how you would like to be credited. Sending a photo does not guarantee publication.
How do I suggest an event?
Send the event title, date and time, location, organizer, and official event or registration link through the contact form. Include any cost or registration requirements so the event can be reviewed with the right context.
How can my organization work with LI Parks?
