Public Information Notice

LI Parks organizes public-facing park, playground, trail, beach, permit, event, and organization information for convenience. Rules, access, fees, permits, hours, amenities, and availability may change.

Always confirm important details with the official agency, park operator, or organization before visiting, applying, reserving, or making plans.

Icon And Media Credits

LI Parks uses Lucide icons for interface controls and common UI symbols, including navigation, search, filters, buttons, and utility actions.

Park activity, point-of-interest, map, and amenity pictograms with a matching published meaning use selected public-domain symbols from the National Park Service NPMap Symbol Library. NPS symbols are used as informational pictograms and do not indicate National Park Service affiliation or endorsement.

Playground equipment, surface, accessibility, and site-feature pictograms without an NPS equivalent use original LI Parks artwork shared with the LI Parks operations and mobile applications.

When LI Parks uses Flaticon category icons or pictograms, credits for those icons will be listed here so attribution remains visible and easy to find.

Third-Party Services

LI Parks may link to or display information from government agencies, park operators, map services, partner organizations, permit systems, event sources, and other outside websites. Those services are controlled by their respective owners.

Map Data

Maps on LI Parks use Leaflet and MapLibre for interactive map display, with a custom coastal style and OpenFreeMap vector tiles. Standard OpenStreetMap tiles provide a fallback when the custom map cannot load. OpenStreetMap is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License by the OpenStreetMap Foundation.

Photos And External Links

Some prototype or editorial imagery may be sourced from Unsplash. Unsplash attribution is not required under its license, but LI Parks may credit photographers or Unsplash where practical.

Some place pages include links that open Google Maps for directions or location search. Those links send visitors to Google Maps, which is operated by Google and governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Unless otherwise stated, original LI Parks writing, design, branding, organization, and photography are owned by Long Island Parks LLC or used with permission. Third-party names, marks, media, software, and data remain the property of their respective owners.
