Explore the Trails: Mill Pond Trail (Boardwalk Trail - 0.35 miles): Begin your journey at the boardwalk entrance on Harbor Road, where you'll be immediately transported into Avalon’s oldest and most developed area. The boardwalk is flanked by the historic Mill Pond on one side and a small freshwater pond teeming with turtles and waterfowl on the other. As you make your way up the stone steps, you'll arrive at the Frog Pond and then the Old Field Meadow, home to the labyrinth and the Prometheus Sculpture. This trail offers a gentle introduction to the preserve, perfect for calming the mind and centering yourself. Coastal Corridor (Red Trail - 0.3 miles, Yellow Trail - 2.2 miles): This trail serves as a connector between Rhododendron Drive and the Shep Jones Lane parking lot.
